How Do I Connect to the Server?
Launch the game with AMS.exe. Make sure you have selected "All Cars and All Tracks" at the bottom of the main menu. Hit the Multiplayer button, and then the + at the top right. Enter 5.9.248.186:55143 and hit OK. Click the server and join with the button on the bottom right. The IP will be saved so you can join the server this way from that point on.
VR Support
If you have VR and want to use it, the plugin can be found in the AMS_VR_beta.zip located in the root folder.
If you have a Logitech Wheel and your game doesn't start
So the retarded fuckers over at Logitech broke something on more recent G Hub updates and AMS and rFactor and the like doesn't like it. Luckily I got you covered.
Uninstall G Hub, then download this version and install it. When you launch the G Hub first time after installing, for the love of god make sure you untick automatic updates. Your game should run now.
Restart Procedure
Race will be restarted if needed.
Car/Team Choice
All cars have the same performance. Limit of two cars per team. If a team has 3 drivers in a race, only the first two drivers signed up will score points for the team.
For autism's sake pick an official team before making your own team/skin. No this rule won't be enforced but you're just being no fun. Though depending on how ugly your skin is I may tell you to fuck off and make one that looks at least half serious.
Rules
Two races, 15 and 40 minutes. 1 lap of qualifying before each race. 3 minute warmup before each race.
Don't drive like an idiot, and pay attention to the flags. Blue flag means you're being lapped. Don't try to race the car(s) behind you.
Don't flip Marko Tulska. Unless it's Flip Marko Tulska Day or if flipping him would be really funny.
Track Limits
Curbs are part of the track.
Feel free to run wide on corner exit, just expect to be called a faggot and insulted in public especially if you wreck someone because of it.
Electronic Assists
The V10 has traction control and automatic shifting built into the car. Enabling these assists usually incurs a weight penalty, but since these were used on the cars in real life it won't slow you down. The assists can be adjusted in the car's setup menu.
Using ABS will incur a weight penalty.
Mildly Helpful Hints
- Turn auto clutch on in the assists. It'll prevent the car from stalling, which will end your race if you do as the car cannot start itself.
- To adjust the traction control in the car, bind controls for "Vehicle Traction Control Previous" and "Vehicle Traction Control Next" in the options. This is not the F8 traction control. Keep that setting off and only use the traction control in the car setup.
- Keep the traction control on high. It can make you slower from being too intrusive but you'll probably regret it later in a run if you lower it.
- This car has adjustable anti-roll bars while driving. Bind the keys to adjust them in the options. It can be helpful to lower the rear anti-roll bar in the 40 minute race if the rear end is getting too loose from tire wear.
- (For the 40 minute race) Depending on the kind of track, it may be better to start on softs and take another set of softs in a pit stop rather than using mediums for the entire race. Some tracks may require you to take a bit of fuel during a stop as well.
FAQ
- Presence on Mumble is not mandatory, but encouraged.
- While the series is open for anyone to join, please practice until you feel comfortable around the track before joining the race.
