OVGT3 S1 10 Year Anniversary Edition is our weekly GT3 racing organised by Pastor. This special season goes all the way back to OVGT3's beginnings with the original 10 year old schedule and carset, ported to Vadim Kogay's OVGT3 Experience with the 10 Year Anniversary Edition Expanded And Enhanced GOTY DLC.

What's new in VKOVGT3E GOTY 10 YO EE Edition

Compared to base version, it includes:

  • All the existing VKOVGT3E Competition Packs
  • Exclusive 10 year anniversary DLC
    • based on BES 2012
    • added OVGT3S1 carset
    • fixes and improvements
      • all cars default to risto_watkins_b
      • all cars have onboard ABS/TCS
      • removed the need to buy the gearbox tune
  • Updated to Unreal Engine 5 with brand new graphics (RTX update pending)
  • VR Support

How Do I Connect to the Server?

The GOTY patch comes with a batch file you can double click to connect to the server. You can also just launch the game, navigate to multiplayer, press the + button and type the IP:port from the Google Doc.

Restart Procedure

Race will be restarted if needed.

Car Choice

No limits. Pick whatever car you want and feel free to change cars every round.

Rules

Two races, 35 minutes each. Random time of day with time scaled 1x.

Bind a button to turn your headlights on/off. If you don't have your headlights on if the race goes to night, you will get disqualified. If you have a potato computer, go to your [username].PLR file located in USERDATA\[yourname]\ and change the line Max Headlights= to 3.

Don't drive like an idiot, and pay attention to the flags.

Skins Guideline

As usual, you can make your own livery if you like. Skin Templates, a preferred numberplate template and the email to which you send it to are in a link on the Google Document.

Recommended values are <number>_<driver><car> for <team> and <team> for <whatever> but you're free to do whatever just remember you cannot have two veh files named the same or one won't show up in game.

Please put the veh file in GameData\Vehicles\Blancpain_Series_2012\Blancpain_Series\Teams\<car>\<team>.veh and the DDS files in GameData\Vehicles\Blancpain_Series_2012\Blancpain_Series\Teams\<car>\<team>\<whatever>.dds

In your .veh file: ("QUOTATION" MARKS ARE NEEDED FOR ANY LINE YOU ENTER)

Set your Default Livery= line to <team>\<whatever>.dds

Set your Classes= line to Classes="OVGT3S1-OVG-10"

Set your Team= line to Team="[yourname or yourteamname reccomended for neater sorting]"

Set your Driver1= line to Driver1="[your name is reccomended for neater sorting]"

Skin submission deadline is 24 hours before the start of the race.

FAQ

- Presence on Mumble is not mandatory, but highly encouraged.

- While the series is open for anyone to join, please practice until you feel comfortable around the track before joining the race.

- These cars use varying amounts of ABS and TCS in real life. Do not be ashamed to activate them if you are struggling.
